1.  APPLY TO UNC:  In order to increase your chances for acceptance, apply online as an early decision enrollee.  Use the following website: http://admissions.unc.edu/Apply/First_Year_Students/default.html Follow all of the instructions on this site and call the admissions office (919-966-3621) with any questions.  To better understand the caliber of people that are accepted to UNC please view the class profile: http://www.admissions.unc.edu/Academics/Class_Profile_and_Rankings/default.html

2.  APPLY FOR ROTC SCHOLARSHIP: Apply for an Army ROTC scholarship online at (http://www.goarmy.com/rotc/scholarships.jsp) and select that you are a high school student and follow all of the instructions.

3.  VISIT:  While you are waiting for acceptance notification you should visit the UNC campus and take a tour.  To schedule a tour call the admissions office (919) 966-3621, ext.5. While you are visiting you should also schedule a meeting with Mr. Anthony Ward, the Army ROTC recruiting officer (anthow@email.unc.edu, 919-962-7347) to review your progress.  Before you visit UNC you should take a look at the UNC visitor’s center website at http://www.unc.edu/visitors/index.htm.

4.  GET ACCEPTED:  As soon as you are accepted you need to notify the UNC Army ROTC department to begin your journey as a cadet in the Tar Heel Battalion.
