The simplest way to find us is to take exit #273 (NC Hwy 54) off of I-40. Follow the signs toward Chapel Hill. If you stay on that road (no turns!) it will turn into Raleigh Road, which will take you straight to the East Gate. Once you go through the gate, you’ll be on South Road as shown on this map.
We are located on campus in the ROTC Armory building at the corner of South Road and South Columbia. On this map, it is building #55.
Parking can be a major challenge at UNC Chapel Hill. The nearest visitor parking is the Swain Lot, which is located on Cameron Avenue, which is about one block from our department. On this map, the Swain Lot is referred to as “New West.” Currently, it will cost you $1.00 per hour with a maximum of $8.00 per day.
You can also park in the NC 54 park and ride lot which is located directly behind the Friday Center off of NC 54. If you park in this lot then you should can take either the S or the HU bus to the nursing school and then walk about half a block up South Columbia to the Armory.
