LTC Lisa Klekowski

 

LTC Lisa Klekowski is from Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007 with a Degree in International Studies. Upon graduation, she commissioned as an Aviation Officer. Following the Basic Officer Leadership Course and Flight School, she was selected to fly Blackhawk Helicopters. LTC Klekowski completed her first assignment in the 228th Aviation Regiment, as an Executive Officer in HHC, and later as a Platoon leader in Alpha Company at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

 

LTC Klekowski also served as a Platoon Leader in C/4-101, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB), when she deployed to Afghanistan, attended the Aviation Captain Career course at Fort Novosel, AL. She also held multiple positions at 10th CAB, including as Commander of C/2-10 AVN during a combat deployment to Afghanistan. LTC Klekowski also served in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), conducted Intermediate Level Education (ILE) and a simultaneous Master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science at Air Force University, Maxwell Air Force Base in 2017. Upon completion of ILE, she served as the Executive Officer of 2-17 Cavalry Regiment, then the Operations Officer for 5th Battalion Assault, both within the 101st CAB. LTC Klekowski was later selected to serve as the Brigade Operations Officer for 101st CAB during a rotation to Operation Atlantic Resolve (Europe) supporting US and NATO operations and their Eastern European partner nations. She then transitioned to the Deputy Chief of Operations a 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Liberty, North Carolina, supporting the initial military response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In 2022, LTC Klekowski served as the Deputy G3 Operations at the United States Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC). LTC Klekowski was then selected to serve within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Commander Action Group (CAG) in 2023.

 

LTC Klekowski has multiple deployments and overseas tours to CENTCOM, EUCOM and SOUTHCOM. Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Combat Action Badge, Senior Aviator Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachutists Badge, Order of St. Michael – Bronze, and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge – Gold.
