The Department of Military Science
Private gifts sustain and enhance the department’s ability to offer a wide variety of leadership experiences, academic challenges, and unique learning opportunities for students to excel in the private sector and in the military.

Our donation account is under the College of Arts and Sciences, Army ROTC Gift Fund.  Any donation to the Army ROTC gift fund can be applied to defray the costs of sending the Tar Heel Army Ten-Miler team to Washington, the purchase of new fitness/recreational equipment, staff rides and activities, funds for guest speakers, etc. Through the department’s pursuit of excellence, each Cadet of the Tar Heel Battalion will be educated, trained and inspired to become a leader of character, committed to the Army values, and prepared and competent to serve successfully as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.

Mail-in donations
The department receives tax deductible donations through the Arts and Sciences Foundation at UNC-Chapel Hill. Please note in the “memo” section of your check that your gift is intended for the Army ROTC Gift Fund (designation number: 104559).
